     Lewis Stafford Northcote was born on 23 March 1831.1 He was the son of Reverend Stafford Charles Northcote and Elizabeth Helena Robbins.2 He married Isabella Mary Augusta Weguelin, daughter of Captain J. C. R. Weguelin, on 4 April 1861.1 He died on 21 September 1882 at age 51.1
     Lewis Stafford Northcote gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 39th Regiment.1
