     Thomas Legh was the son of Thomas Legh and Elizabeth Millington.2 He married Margaret Chollerton, daughter of Richard Chollerton, circa 2 January 1464.1
     Circa 1510 he inherited the High Legh estate, after the failure of male heirs in the senior branch, though not without litigation involving members of that branch.1 He also had three daughters.1
