Barbara Susanne Gray-Cheape was born in 1911.2 She is the daughter of Colonel Hugh Annesley Gray-Cheape and Carsina Gordon Gray.3,2 She married Alexander William Henry James Montgomery-Cuninghame, son of Sir Thomas Andrew Alexander Montgomery-Cuninghame of Corsehill, 10th Bt. and Alice Frances Denison Des Voeux, on 23 October 1934.1
