     Very Rev. Algernon Giles Seymour was born on 1 September 1886.1 He was the son of Venerable Albert Eden Seymour and Hester Emily Fortescue.2 He married Ida Grace Hammick, daughter of Vice-Admiral Robert Frederick Hammick, on 21 July 1921.1 He died on 22 October 1933 at age 47.1
     Very Rev. Algernon Giles Seymour graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Chaplain between 1915 and 1920 in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was the Provost between 1927 and 1933 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1
