     Alexander James Dallas was born on 15 May 1791 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A..1 He was the son of Alexander James Dallas and Arabella Maria Smith.1 He died on 3 June 1844 at age 53 at Callao, Peru.1
     Alexander James Dallas gained the rank of officer in the service of the U.S. Navy.1 He fought in the War of 1812 in 1812.1 He was commander of the Pensacola Navy Yard between 1832 and 1843.1
