Emanuel Scrope Howe, 2nd Viscount Howe was born circa 1699.1 He was the son of Scrope Howe, 1st Viscount Howe and Hon. Juliana Alington.1 He married Mary Sophia Charlotte Kielmansegge, daughter of Johann Adolph Graf von Kielmansegge and Charlotte Sophia von Platen-Hallermund, Countess of Darlington, on 8 April 1719.1 He died on 29 March 1735.1
Emanuel Scrope Howe, 2nd Viscount Howe succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron of Glenawly, co. Fermanagh [I., 1701] on 26 January 1712.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Howe [I., 1701] on 26 January 1712.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Nottinghamshire between 1722 and 1732.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Howe [E., 1660] on 3 July 1730.1 He held the office of Governor of Barbados between 1732 and 1735.1

Mary Sophia Charlotte Kielmansegge was the daughter of Johann Adolph Graf von Kielmansegge and Charlotte Sophia von Platen-Hallermund, Countess of Darlington.1 She married Emanuel Scrope Howe, 2nd Viscount Howe, son of Scrope Howe, 1st Viscount Howe and Hon. Juliana Alington, on 8 April 1719.1 She died on 13 June 1782.1
As a result of her marriage, Mary Sophia Charlotte Kielmansegge was styled as Viscountess Howe on 8 April 1719. From 8 April 1719, her married name became Howe.1
