     Field Marshal Sir Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.).2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).2 He was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.).2 He gained the title of 1st Earl Wavell.      Harry Alastair Gordon was the son of Commander Alastair Gordon.1 He married Lady Joan Patricia Quirk Wavell, daughter of Field Marshal Sir Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell, on 19 June 1948.1 He died on 19 June 1965.1
