Lt.-Col. James Alfred Schreiber was born on 21 November 1789.1 He was the son of William Schreiber and Mary Sewell.1 He married Mary Ware, daughter of Thomas Ware and Mary Beamish, on 23 July 1832.1 He died in 1840.1
