     Rt. Hon. Richard Ryder was born on 5 July 1766.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Ryder, 1st Baron Harrowby and Elizabeth Terrick.1 He married Frederica Skynner, daughter of Sir John Skynner, on 1 August 1799.1 He died on 18 September 1832 at age 66, without surviving issue.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He held the office of Home Secretary between 1809 and 1812.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He lived at Westbrook Hay, Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1
