     John Hoskyns was born on 21 December 1784.1 He was the son of Sir Hungerford Hoskyns, 6th Bt. and Catherine Stanhope.2 He married Caroline Ellen Ribton, daughter of Allen Ribton.1 He died in 1858.1
     John Hoskyns graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 He lived at Morehampton, County Dublin, Ireland.1
