John Grove was born in 1696.1 He was the son of Thomas Grove and Elizabeth Hooke.2 He married, firstly, Eleanor Hanham, daughter of Sir William Hanham, 3rd Bt. and Mary Norris, circa 1751.1 He married, secondly, Philippa Long, daughter of Walter Long, in 1755.1 He died in 1769.1

William Henry Edward Napier was born on 29 September 1830 at Quebec, Canada.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Duncan Campbell Napier and Catherine Charlotte Wurtele.2 He married Annie Walker Robertson, daughter of Captain James Robertson and Barbara Shand, in 1870.2 He died on 2 August 1894 at age 63 at 73 george Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2

Alexander Napier Chinnery-Haldane, 25th of Gleneagles was born on 17 June 1907.1 He was the son of James Brodrick Chinnery-Haldane, 24th of Gleneagles and Katherine Annie Napier.2 He died in 1994.1
