     Sir Thomas Esmonde, 8th Bt. was born in 1758.1 He was the son of Sir James Esmonde, 7th Bt. and Ellice White.2 He married Mary Dowdale, daughter of Myles Dowdale, in March 1776.1 He married, secondly, Letitia Hill Devereux, daughter of unknown Devereux, circa 18 August 1802.1 He died on 22 November 1803, without issue.1
     Sir Thomas Esmonde, 8th Bt. succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Esmonde, of Ballynastragh, co. Wexford [I., 1629] in 1767.1
