     Sir Alexander Christison, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 August 1828.1 He married, firstly, Jemima Anne Brown, daughter of James Cowley Brown, on 22 June 1854.1 He married, secondly, Florence Elworthy, daughter of Fredrick Thomas Elworthy and Mana Kershaw, on 3 November 1892.1 He died on 14 October 1918 at age 90.1
     He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He gained the rank of Surgeon-General in the Bengal Army.1 He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Christison on 27 January 1882.
