Major Arthur Evelyn Scott Curtis was born on 21 January 1870.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Reginald Curtis and Marianne Emma Salmond.2 He married Margaret Emma Mackintosh, daughter of John Mackintosh.1 He died on 6 June 1944 at age 74.1
He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1
