     Glenda Kidston Curtis was born on 1 March 1931.1 She was the daughter of Major Philip Pinckney Curtis and Hélène Ellinor Clare Kidston.2 She married, firstly, Major Colin Butchard, son of P. Butchard, on 4 May 1953.1 She and Major Colin Butchard were divorced in 1969.1 She married, secondly, Rodney Frederick Hedderley Ward, son of D. J. H. Ward, in October 1969.1 She died on 11 August 1982 at age 51.1
     From 4 May 1953, her married name became Butchard. From October 1969, her married name became Ward.1
