Charles Houstoun-Boswall was born on 17 April 1894.1 He was the son of Alfred Houstoun-Boswall and Emmeline Charlotte Frances de Winton.2 He married Marguerite Yvonne Savage Pritchard, daughter of Herbert Pritchard, on 2 October 1935.1 He died on 24 February 1946 at age 51.1
He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Reserve of Officers, Royal Scots Guards.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Bahamas between 1933 and 1935.1
