Cecil Winnington-Ingram was born on 14 December 1914.1 He was the son of Reverend Alfred Winnington-Ingram and Julia Margaret Augeraud.2 He married Maude Ethel May Lee, daughter of James Bartlett Lee, on 21 December 1954.1 He died in 1990.1
He graduated from Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1950.1 He was with the Colonial Administration Service in Tanganyika and Nyasaland between 1955 and 1963.1 He was Adminstrator for RSPB between 1964 and 1969.1 He was Deputy Director of RSPB in 1970.1
