     Hermione Grace Guinness was born on 25 May 1898.1 She was the daughter of Gerald Seymour Guinness and Eleanor Grace de Capell Brooke.2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Herbert Francis George Carter, son of General Francis Carter, on 26 June 1918.1 She married, secondly, Air Marshal Sir John Cotesworth Slessor, son of Major Arthur Kerr Slessor, on 8 May 1923.1 She was also reported to have been married on 18 May 1923.3 She died on 14 September 1970 at age 72.1
     From 26 June 1918, her married name became Carter. From 8 May 1923, her married name became Slessor.1

     Lt.-Col. Herbert Francis George Carter was the son of General Francis Carter.2 He married Hermione Grace Guinness, daughter of Gerald Seymour Guinness and Eleanor Grace de Capell Brooke, on 26 June 1918.1 He died on 28 February 1919, while on active service.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1

     G/Capt. John Arthur Guinness Slessor was born on 14 August 1925.1 He was the son of Air Marshal Sir John Cotesworth Slessor and Hermione Grace Guinness.2,1 He married Ann Dorothea Gibson, daughter of George Gibson, on 6 October 1951.1 He died on 11 March 2008 at age 82.3
     He gained the rank of officer in 1943 in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1945, in Northern France.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was Officer-in-Charge of the 83 Squadron (V-Force) between 1962 and 1965.1 He was Air Attaché to Madrid between 1968 and 1970.1 He was Officer-in-Charge of the Royal Air Force Odiham between 1971 and 1973.1 He retired from the military in 1978, with the rank of Group Captain, late of the Royal Air Force.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM Qieen Elizabeth II between 1978 and 1995.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.) in 1981.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire in 1989.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1990.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1995.1 He lived in 2003 at 1 Burford Lodge, Montpellier Parade, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1
