     Colonel Dudley North was born on 8 October 1840.1 He was the son of Dudley North and Sarah Lockyer.2 He died on 22 November 1917 at age 77, unmarried.1
     He fought in the Ashanti War, and Zhob Valley.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the North Lancashire Regiment.1
