     Sarah Lockyer is the daughter of Major Edmund Lockyer and Sarah Morris.2,3 She married Dudley North, son of Francis Frederick North and Elizabeth Whitear, in 1839.1,3

     Colonel Dudley North was born on 8 October 1840.1 He was the son of Dudley North and Sarah Lockyer.2 He died on 22 November 1917 at age 77, unmarried.1
     Colonel Dudley North fought in the Ashanti War, and Zhob Valley.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the North Lancashire Regiment.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1
