Brig.-Gen. Sir Robert Pigot, 6th Bt. was born on 3 May 1882.1 He was the son of Sir George Pigot, 5th Bt. and Alice Louisa Raynsford Mackenzie.2 He married Norah Beatrice Oakeley Hargreaves, daughter of Captain Charles Reginald Hargreaves, on 21 August 1913.1 He died on 27 December 1977 at age 95.1
Brig.-Gen. Sir Robert Pigot, 6th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in 1913 in the service of the Royal Flying Corps.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1918.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Pigot, of Patshull, Staffordshire [G.B., 1764] on 25 May 1934.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

Sir Robert Pigot, 6th Bt. and Norah Beatrice Oakeley Hargreaves.3 She married, firstly, Major Donald Ian Molteno, son of Donald Jarvis Molteno, on 15 May 1940.4 She married, secondly, Edward John McDonald Dent, son of Edward John Dent, on 15 February 1949.4
