     Jack Crawley was born on 7 October 1893.1 He was the son of Charles James Crawley and Maude Cameron Buck.2 He died on 2 June 1916 at age 22 at FranceG, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of in the service of the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles, 1st Canadian Expeditionary Force.1

     Lt.-Col. Frederick Alexander Currie was born on 23 September 1851.1 He was the son of Major Mark Edward Currie and Jane Upwood.2 He married Geraldine Lucy Graves, daughter of Ryves William Graves and Isabella O'Grady, on 11 August 1874.1 He died on 13 June 1902 at age 50.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.1 He also had two daughters, who died in infancy.1
