     James Cheer was born on 17 January 1803. He was the son of Batholomew Cheer and Elizabeth Daniel. He married Mary Mackaby on 2 January 1841. He died on 21 April 1878 at age 75 at Longworth, Oxfordshire, England.

     Mary Mackaby was born in 1807 at Faringdon, Berkshire, England. She married James Cheer, son of Batholomew Cheer and Elizabeth Daniel, on 2 January 1841. She died on 2 November 1852 at Faringdon, Berkshire, England.
     From 2 January 1841, her married name became Cheer.
