     Emma Phillips was born in 1826 at England. She was the daughter of John Phillips and Ann Cox. She married Edward Tucker, son of Edward Tucker and Jane Kittow, on 26 August 1844 at New Plymouth, New Zealand. She died on 14 December 1908 at New Zealand.
     Emma immigrated with her parents to New Plymouth, New Zealand, on the ship William Bryan, arriving 30 March 1841.1 From 26 August 1844, her married name became Tucker.

     Jane Kittow was born on 14 February 1792 at Breage, Cornwall, England. She was the daughter of William Kittow and Temperance Cornelius. She was baptised on 1 December 1793 at St. Andrew's, Calstock, Cornwall, England.1 She married Edward Tucker in 1823 at Cornwall, England. She died on 7 January 1883 at age 90 at Arch Hill, Auckland, New Zealand.1
     From 1823, her married name became Tucker.
