     Mary McKeage was born on 10 November 1867 at Ireland.1 She was the daughter of James McKeage and Rose McDowell. She married Bernard Fountaine in 1892 at The Beach Farm, Lowcliffe, Canterbury, New Zealand.1 She died on 23 July 1958 at age 90 at Ashburton, New Zealand.1,2 She was buried at Hinds Cemetery, Hinds, Canterbury, New Zealand.2
     From 1892, her married name became (?) Fountaine.1
