     Thomas Johnston Stoney was born in December 1780.1 He was the son of Thomas Stoney and Ruth Falkiner.1 He married, firstly, Eliza Going, daughter of Richard Going, in 1813.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Pattison Isaac in 1844.1 He died on 11 August 1869 at age 88.1
     He lived at Harvest Lodge, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 He had two daughters by his second wife.1
