Grace Stott is the daughter of Reverend Ebenezer Stott.2 She married Robert Couper, son of George Couper, in 1786.1

Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. was born in 1788.1 He was the son of Robert Couper and Grace Stott.2 He married Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Hon. Sir Justice John Wilson, on 20 June 1820.1 He died on 28 February 1861.2
He fought in the Battle of Copenhagen.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 92nd Foot.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-General Earl of Dalhousie.1 He was Military Secretary in Canada to General Sir James Kempt and 1st Earl of Durham.1 He gained the rank of Colonel.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)1 He was Comptroller of the Household to the Duchess of Kent.1 He was created 1st Baronet Couper [U.K.] on 23 June 1841.1

George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 April 1824.2 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.2 He married Caroline Penelope Every, daughter of Henry Every and Hon. Caroline Flower, on 29 April 1852.2 He died on 5 March 1908 at age 83.2
He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir Henry Lawrence at the Siege of Lucknow.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Couper [U.K., 1841] on 28 February 1861.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir James Outram at the Alumbagh.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)2 He held the office of Governor of the North-West Provinces between 1877 and 1882.2

General James Kempt Couper was born on 2 November 1827.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.2 He married Emily Jane Earle, daughter of Colonel J. L. Earle, in 1854.1 He died on 14 May 1901 at age 73.1
