     George Augustus Herbert Hacket Brereton was born in 1862.2 He was the son of Simpson Hackett Brereton and Mary Sophia Parker.3 He married Caroline Isabel Biddulph, daughter of Fleet-Surg. Robert Waller Biddulph and Caroline Studdert, in 1915 in a childless marriage.1 He died on 20 April 1920, without issue.2
     He lived at Clongowna, County Tipperary, Ireland.1

     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1
