     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Maiden Hall, Bennettsbridge, County Kilkenny, IrelandG.2

     Marshal Neville Clarke was born in 1828.2 He was the son of Charles Clarke and Sarah Otway Bland.3 He married Mary Elizabeth Pearson, daughter of Colonel Charles Pearson, in 1864.2 He died on 10 May 1884.

     Harriet Neville Clarke was born on 10 August 1867.2 She was the daughter of Marshal Neville Clarke and Mary Elizabeth Pearson.1,2 She married George Butler, son of John Butler and Mary Barton, on 25 January 1898.1 She died on 18 July 1939 at age 71.1
     From 25 January 1898, her married name became Butler.
