     Major James Oliphant was born on 31 January 1886.1 He was the son of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.1 He married Grace Isobel Hudsen, daughter of George Bickersteth Hudsen, on 26 October 1914.1 He died on 13 June 1957 at age 71.1
     He was educated at St. Lawrence College, Ramsgate, Kent, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1914 in the 1st Canadian Division.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1916.2 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1918.2

     Commander Tristram Anthony Pack-Beresford was born on 8 May 1907.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry John Pack-Beresford and Sybil Maud Bell.1 He married Alexandra Vivien Anne Robertson, daughter of Colonel Kenneth Struan Robertson, on 10 April 1944.1 He died on 29 May 1981 at age 74.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He retired from the military, with the rank of Commander, late of the Royal Navy, (invalided.)1 He was the Inspector of the Imperial Lighthouse Service between 1949 and 1964 at BahamasG.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1965.1 As of 1976, Commander Tristram Anthony Pack-Beresford lived at The Tansey, Baily, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
