     He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, & Surgeons, Ireland (L.R.C.P.&S.[I])1 He fought in the First World War, as a Captain with the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He lived at Elsinore, Malahide, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

     Colonel Desmond William Beamish was born on 13 May 1891.1 He was the son of Captain Benjamin Beamish and Florence Vance.1 He married Eva Maude Clanchy, daughter of Arthur French Clanchy, on 28 April 1919 in a childless marriage.1 He died on 29 April 1973 at age 81.1
     He was educated at St. Bees School, St. Bees, Cumbria, EnglandG.1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, Ireland, & Licentiate in Medicine (L.R.C.P.[I]&L.M.) 19131 and as a Licentiate, Royal College of Surgeons & Licentiate in Medicine (L.R.C.S.&L.M.) 1913.1 He fought in the First World War.
