     He was with the Madras Civil Service in 1831.1 He was Commissioner in Karnul in 1843.1 He was Sub-Controller and Joint Magistrate of the Northern Dvision of Arcot between 1849 and 1861.1

     From 9 April 1836, her married name became Bayley.1

     From 14 November 1865, her married name became Oldfield.1
