Colonel Henry Townsend Butcher was the son of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Butcher.2 He married Anne Susan Dalrymple-Hay, daughter of Colonel George James Dalrymple-Hay and Amelia Emily Maitland, on 22 November 1880.1 He died on 20 September 1915 at FranceG, killed in action.2
