Thomas Ball was born in 1608.1 He was the son of Bartholomew Ball and Jane Finglas.1 He died in February 1679, unmarried.1 He was buried at St. Audeon's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
He succeeded to the properties of his father, but, being a Roman Catholic, he transfered his inheritance of Lunderstown, Duleek, County Meath, IrelandG, in order to preserve it, to his brother-in-law Matthew May and to Thomas Houghton (Pipe Roll 6, 63 Charles II.)1 In 1675 Thomas Ball pleaded for the restoration of his lands, which had been forfeited during the Cromwellian Protectorate, before the Commission of Innocents. He stated that he was "reduced to great want."1
