     Walter Bagenal was born circa 1670.1 He was the son of Colonel Dudley Bagenal and Ann Mathew.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Barnewall, daughter of James Barnewall.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Beauchamp in 1740, they had an additional two children who died as infants.1 He died in 1745.1
     Walter Bagenal was able to regain the family estates from the Crown, eventually becoming a Protestant to secure them, and laid out what is now the centre of Bagenalstown in a foward looking attempt to establish a profitable trade route through his land.1 He lived at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Ireland.1

     Eleanor Barnewall was the daughter of James Barnewall.1 She married Walter Bagenal, son of Colonel Dudley Bagenal and Ann Mathew.1
     Her married name became Bagenal.1

     George Bagenal was the son of Colonel Dudley Bagenal and Ann Mathew.1 He died without issue at Spain.1
     George Bagenal held the office of Aide-de-Camp and companion to the 2nd Duke of Ormonde in exile.1 He was known as Busbie in Jacobite correspondence.1
