     Patricia Margaret Smiley was born on 15 September 1907.1 She was the daughter of Major Sir John Smiley, 2nd Bt. and Valerie Champion de Crespigny.2 She married, firstly, Rupert Douglas Tollemache, son of Hon. Alfred Douglas Tollemache and Alice Mary Head, on 22 October 1931.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Charles Dalby, son of Major John Dalby, on 27 March 1941.1 She died on 30 March 2000 at age 92.1
     From 22 October 1931, her married name became Tollemache. From 27 March 1941, her married name became Dalby.1
