     John Andrews was born on 10 July 1849.1 He was the son of Isaac Andrews and Mary Ann Drew.1 He married Mary Jane Jeffery, daughter of James Jeffery, on 27 September 1872 at Dunmurry Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Dunmurry, County Antrim, Ireland.2 He died on 25 October 1920 at age 71.1
     He was educated at Royal Belfast Academical Institution, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.1 He was educated at Queen's College, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.1 He was the Managing Partner of the family firm from 1876.1 He held the office of Member of he Belfast Harbour Board between 1894 and 1917.1 He lived at Greenville, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.1
