     Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter was born on 9 June 1822.1 He was the son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell.2 He married, firstly, Philadelphia Louisa Hall, daughter of Thomas Hall, on 29 January 1850.1 He married, secondly, Frances Green, daughter of Hugh Green, on 8 December 1899.1 He died on 7 January 1900 at age 77.1
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was the Rector at St. Mary Magdalene, Colchester, Essex, EnglandG.1

     Philadelphia Louisa Hall was the daughter of Thomas Hall.2 She married Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter, son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell, on 29 January 1850.1 She died in 1897.1
     From 29 January 1850, her married name became Cotter.

     Mary Elizabeth Cotter was the daughter of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Philadelphia Louisa Hall.2 She married Marcus Seton Blackden, son of John Chalfont Blackden, on 4 November 1884.1 She died in May 1904.1
     From 4 November 1884, her married name became Blackden.
