     Captain Kyrle Allen was born on 8 May 1872.1 He was the son of Alfred William Allen and Sarah Anne Philpot.1 He married Mary Susanna Doherty Fitzgibbon, daughter of Thomas Wood Fitzgibbon, on 2 February 1922.1 He died on 25 October 1955 at age 83.1
     He graduated from Royal University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the First World War, as a Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps (R.A.S.C.).1 He lived at Clashenure House, Ovens, County Cork, Ireland.1
