     Major Charles FitzGerald Thomas Cochrane was born on 14 April 1863.1 He was the son of Basil Edward Arthur Cochrane and Sally Caroline FitzGerald.2 He married, firstly, Maud Mary Rose, daughter of Robert de Ros Rose, on 17 April 1896.1 He married, secondly, Nora Avice Drake-Cutliffe, daughter of Charles Bernard Mervyn Drake-Cutliffe, on 21 July 1933.1 He died on 7 March 1952 at age 88.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment.1 He was Railway Transport Officer during the First World War in 1914.1

     From 17 April 1896, her married name became Cochrane.
