Hugh Benjamin Cochrane was born on 8 April 1925.1 He is the son of Arthur Blair Dundonald Cochrane and Nancy Barber.2 He married Anne Deirdre Scott, daughter of William Schoener Scott, on 5 September 1953.1
He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1945 and 1947 in the Royal Engineers.1 He was registered as a Chartered Enginner (C.Eng.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (F.I.Mech.E.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Institution of Civil Engineers (F.I.C.E.)1 He lived in 2003 at Hope Cottage, 15 Gretton Court, Girton, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1

Nicholas Baillie Cochrane was born on 18 January 1929.1 He was the son of Arthur Blair Dundonald Cochrane and Nancy Barber.2 He married Diana Isabel Craig, daughter of Norman Balfour Craig, on 29 November 1958.1 He died on 19 February 2019 at age 90.
