     From 1860, her married name became Read.1

     Maria Theresa Curran was born in 1821 at Kaira, India.1 She was the daughter of John Bury Curran and Mary Ann Hatton.1 She married, firstly, Nicholas Gosney in 1847.1 She married, secondly, John Simmons in 1879 at Armidale, New South Wales, Australia.1 She died in 1895 at Armidale, New South Wales, Australia.1
     From 1847, her married name became Gosney.1 From 1879, her married name became Simmons.1
