     Captain James Russell McCarthy was the son of Lt.-Col. James Joseph McCarthy.1 He married Jean Cecil Ashley Fetherstonhaugh, daughter of Major Ashley Elliot Herbert Fetherstonhaugh and Janet Gordon Dove, on 22 February 1947.1 He died on 14 February 1974.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Indian Army.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He lived at Navan, County Meath, Ireland.2

     Beatrice Ellerie Glyn was the daughter of Hon. St. Leger Richard Glyn and Florence Elizabeth Williams.1,2 She married Major Frederick Howard Wingfield Fetherstonhaugh, son of Howard Fetherstonhaugh and Lucy Emily Wingfield-Baker, on 11 October 1888.3 She died on 15 April 1951.1
     From 11 October 1888, her married name became Fetherstonhaugh.1
