     Michael Scanlan was born in 1739.2 He was the son of Cornelius Scanlan and Mary O'Connell.2 He married Elizabeth Wheeler, daughter of Francis Wheeler and Elizabeth Massy, in 1762.2 He died in 1802.2
     He lived at Ballynahana, IrelandG.1

     Elizabeth Wheeler was the daughter of Francis Wheeler and Elizabeth Massy.1 She married Michael Scanlan, son of Cornelius Scanlan and Mary O'Connell, in 1762.1 She died on 18 January 1812.1
     From 1762, her married name became Scanlan.1
