     Elizabeth Preston Massy was born in 1857.¹ She was the daughter of James FitzGerald Massy and Elizabeth Preston.¹ She died in 1940, unmarried.¹

     Lucy Caroline Justice was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Annesley Justice.¹ She married Major Hugh Ingoldsby Massy, son of James FitzGerald Massy and Elizabeth Preston, in 1880.¹ She died in 1931.¹

     Major William Ingoldsby Justice Massy was born on 16 February 1883.² He was the son of Major Hugh Ingoldsby Massy and Lucy Caroline Justice.¹ He married Adam Mary Frances Simpson, daughter of Francis Frederick Le Souëf Simpson, in September 1918.² He died on 7 June 1965 at age 82.²

     Lionel Henry Massy was born in 1888.¹ He was the son of Major Hugh Ingoldsby Massy and Lucy Caroline Justice.¹ He died in 1915, drowned in a troopship.¹

Derek FitzGerald Massy was born on 30 January 1893.¹ He was the son of Major Hugh Ingoldsby Massy and Lucy Caroline Justice.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Vida Smith, daughter of John William Smith, on 3 June 1919.¹ He and Margaret Vida Smith were divorced in 1937.¹ He married, secondly, Marjorie Christabel Jenks, daughter of Sir Maurice Jenks, 1st Bt. and Martha Louise Christabel Smith, on 14 January 1937.² He died on 2 May 1963 at age 70.¹

     Margaret Vida Smith is the daughter of John William Smith.¹ She married W/Cdr. Derek FitzGerald Massy, son of Major Hugh Ingoldsby Massy and Lucy Caroline Justice, on 3 June 1919.¹ She and W/Cdr. Derek FitzGerald Massy were divorced in 1937.¹
     From 3 June 1919, her married name became Massy.¹

     John William Smith lived at Field House, Daisy Hill, Bradford, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Derek James Rowland Massy was born on 29 April 1929.¹ He is the son of W/Cdr. Derek FitzGerald Massy and Margaret Vida Smith.¹ He married Simone Beatrice Jeangros, daughter of Erwin Jeangros, on 2 April 1954.¹
     He was educated at Bootham School, York, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1954 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was an industrial chemist with Ciba-Geigy.¹

     Simone Beatrice Jeangros is the daughter of Erwin Jeangros.¹ She married Derek James Rowland Massy, son of W/Cdr. Derek FitzGerald Massy and Margaret Vida Smith, on 2 April 1954.¹
     From 2 April 1954, her married name became Massy.¹
