     Charles Alphonse Massy was born between 1819 and 1821 at Trinidad.1,2 He was the son of Major William Massy and Sophie Rose Peschier.1 He married Charlotte Renton Stuart, daughter of Bute Stuart and Ann Jane Boultbee, on 11 December 1851 at St. John's Church, Reid, Canberra, A.C.T., AustraliaG, Note that Canberra was not created until 1901, although this church was built in 1844.1,2 He died on 14 July 1888 at Stoneville, Gundaroo, New South Wales, Australia.1,2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Bowylie, Gundaroo, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He lived at Farran, County Limerick, IrelandG.1

     Charlotte Renton Stuart was born in 1828 at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England.2,3 She was the daughter of Bute Stuart and Ann Jane Boultbee.1,2 She married Charles Alphonse Massy, son of Major William Massy and Sophie Rose Peschier, on 11 December 1851 at St. John's Church, Reid, Canberra, A.C.T., AustraliaG, Note that Canberra was not created until 1901, although this church was built in 1844.1,3 She died on 28 January 1908 at Douglas, Bungendore, New South Wales, Australia.1,3
     From 11 December 1851, her married name became Massy.1
