     Jean Caroline Cavendish was born on 3 April 1932.1 She is the daughter of Major Frederick George Cavendish and Milla Jean Grant.1 She married, firstly, Anthony Richard Champion de Crespigny, son of Air Vice-Marshal Hugh Vivian Champion de Crespigny, on 14 July 1954.1 She and Anthony Richard Champion de Crespigny were divorced in 1959.1 She married, secondly, George Charles Denis Lassalle in 1974.1
     Jean Caroline Cavendish usually went by her middle name of Caroline.1 She was educated at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 From 14 July 1954, her married name became Champion de Crespigny.1 She was an author.1 She was founding editor of Picador Books.1 From 1974, her married name became Lassalle.1 She lived in 2003 at Kapodistrias 3, Limassol, CyprusG.1

     Anthony Richard Champion de Crespigny was born in 1930.2 He was the son of Air Vice-Marshal Hugh Vivian Champion de Crespigny.1 He married Jean Caroline Cavendish, daughter of Major Frederick George Cavendish and Milla Jean Grant, on 14 July 1954.1 He and Jean Caroline Cavendish were divorced in 1959.1 He died on 15 November 2008.2
