     John de Stanley is the son of John de Stanley and Mabel Hawkset.1
     He was ancestor of Edward Stanley, of Ponsonby Hall (MP 1832-52).1 He lived at Greswithin, Cumberland, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlisle circa 1347.1
