     Lt.-Col. Archibald Hamilton Campbell was born on 17 December 1823.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell, 1st of Colgrain and Janet Miller Hamilton.2 He married Mary Agnes Maitland-Kirwan, daughter of Charles Lionel Maitland-Kirwan, on 25 June 1868.1 He died in March 1897 at age 73.1
     Lt.-Col. Archibald Hamilton Campbell gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1

     Thomas Campbell was born on 2 March 1825.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell, 1st of Colgrain and Janet Miller Hamilton.2 He married, firstly, Mary Campbell, daughter of Colonel unknown Campbell of Possil, in September 1851.1 He married, secondly, Katherine Caroline Vansittart, daughter of Colonel Robert Vansittart, on 14 January 1869.1
     Thomas Campbell was married 2nd Katherine Caroline, eldest daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Vansittart (see 1956 edn VANSITTART, B), of The Chuffs, nr Maidenhead, and by her had, with other issue: on 14 January 1869.1

     Mary Campbell was the daughter of Colonel unknown Campbell of Possil.2 She married Thomas Campbell, son of Colin Campbell, 1st of Colgrain and Janet Miller Hamilton, in September 1851.1 She died in August 1852.1
     From September 1851, her married name became Campbell.
