     He was a practising solicitor.3

Paul Robert Foley was born on 30 April 1910 at Stoke Edith, Herefordshire, England.1,3 He was the son of Paul Henry Hodgetts-Foley and Dora Langley.1 He married, firstly, Cecilia Margarete Anne Yolande Seddon, daughter of Frank Seddon and Margarete Gertrude Necom, on 23 November 1939 at St. Michael's Church, Pimlico, London, EnglandG.1,4,2 He and Cecilia Margarete Anne Yolande Seddon were divorced in 1952.1 He married, secondly, Oriel Leonie Lucas-Scudamore, daughter of Colonel Edward Lucas-Scudamore and Sybil Frances Webber, on 7 December 1954.1 He died on 19 February 1980 at age 69 at Tulliere, Auribeau-sur-Siagne, France.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.5 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1932 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)5 He fought in the Second World War.5 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Auxiliary Air Force.5 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.5
