Sir John Arthur Owen, 4th Bt. was born on 5 February 1892.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Charles Owen, 3rd Bt. and Martha Robert Lewis.2 He married Lucy Fletcher Pilkington, daughter of Fred William Pilkington, on 29 December 1914.1 He died on 20 September 1973 at age 81.1
He was educated at Llandovery School, Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Owen, of Orielton, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1813] on 4 April 1909.1 He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 11th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.1
